Steps to Export Contacts on Mobile Device


Exporting contacts on your Android device is a straightforward process. Follow these steps to ensure you successfully export your contacts.


Step 1: Open the Contacts App


- Locate the Contacts app on your Android device. This is usually found on your home screen or in the app drawer.


Step 2: Access Settings 


- Tap on the three dashes.



Step 3: Select Export


- Look for an option labeled "Manage Contacts"

-  then "Import/Export."


Step 4: Choose Export



- Tap on the "Export" button to complete the process. You may receive a notification indicating that the export was successful.



Step 5: Verify the Export


- Navigate to the location where you saved the exported file to ensure it has been successfully created.

- You can now upload this file to your OneDrive or Email it to yourself, ready to add onto your new device.


Steps to Share Contacts on Mobile Device


Step 1: Open the Contacts App


- Locate the Contacts app on your Android device. This is usually found on your home screen or in the app drawer.


Step 2: Select contacts:


- Now select the Contacts you would like to share. You can share all Contacts or select a few


Step 3: Menu


- Select the 3 dots

Step 4: Share contacts


- Select "Share Contacts"

- Now select how you would like to Share your contacts

- Make sure your device has enough storage space to save the exported file.
