Sending a Secure Message with Mimecast on Outlook


To send a secure message using Mimecast in Outlook, follow these steps:


Step 1: Compose a New Email


- Open Outlook and click on “New Email” to start a new message.


Step 2: Enable Mimecast Security


- Look for the Mimecast options in the ribbon.

- Select the option for sending a secure message. This is be labeled as "Send Securely".



Step 3: Add Recipients


- Enter the email address of the recipient(s) in the "To" field.


Step 4: Write Your Message


- Type your message in the body of the email.

- You can also attach files if needed.


Step 5: Send the Email


- Review your email for accuracy.

- Click “Send” to dispatch your secure message.


Step 6: Recipient Receives Secure Email


- The recipient will receive a notification about the secure email.

- They may be prompted to log in or verify their identity to access the message.
