Retrieving Original Files from Mimecast in Outlook If you need to access original files sent through Mimecast in your Outlook, follow these steps for an efficient retrieval process Have you ever wondered how to get an original file/attachment in its original format (Word, PowerPoint etc.) from an email, if it blocked by Mimecast? Then here is how you can do so with just a few clicks. If you are sent an e-mail that Mimecast deems vulnerable, then it creates and sends you a secure version of that e-mail as shown below. Click on the arrow down and click on “Open” Once the e-mail is loaded click on “Request Files” . This will send a request to Mimecast to release the attachment in its original format and send to you. If Mimecast deems that attachment requested is safe to send, then you will receive an e-mail with attachment as requested, otherwise it will be ignored and blocked. Following these steps will help you successfully retrieve the original files sent from Mimecast in your Outlook. Mimecast Requesting Password
To update Mimecast password in Outlook Click on Mimecast > Account Settings (or the pop up banner at the bottom right of outlook) Click on Domain Authentication Enter your own Citrix password and click Submit Password You will then be required to put in a verification code to authenticate your access which will automatically be sent to you from postmaster@guhg.co.uk click Verify once you've entered your verification code Mimecast setting should appear back now
